Slovenia is so beautiful and already, in Ljubljana, we have been met by friendly, efficient hotel staff here at our hotel in Ljubljana.
We have a fabulous view from our 9th floor room. Cliff went for a quick bike ride while I checked out a bit of central Ljubljana and then relaxed with a cup of tea in the hotel’s street cafe.
Then we explored the streets of old Ljubljana, watched street performances and soaked up what is a lovely, vibrant whilst relaxed ambience in this little city. We had the most fantastic meal at Valvasor restaurant. A stroll through the town, up the funicular to the castle and down again, then a really pleasant ‘digestif’ in the outside hotel bar. Really, really like Ljubljana. I thinks it’s fair to say ‘we’ll be back!’
